About Cassandra

My nature is curious and sensitive. In early life, I believed I felt things too deeply—sensing all the things that didn’t get talked about. My personal journey has taught me that, when properly honed and channeled, empathy becomes a purposeful skill. Spiritual Direction allows me to share my gift of loving presence and cosmic wonder to companion others along their personal and spiritual evolutions.

I completed my college coursework at VCU and University of Richmond, and taught Literature in grades 6-12. I bring my experiences as a Mother, educator, and forever student to my practice. I find myself often at the intersection of Psychology and Spirituality, and am inspired by teachers like Richard Rohr, Tara Brach, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Mary Magdalene. The human condition is of constant interest.

Through my independent study of Carl Jung, I was introduced to the Haden Institute in Asheville, NC, where I ultimately completed a two-year Certification in Spiritual Direction. There I learned various modalities for spiritual care—Dreamwork, Enneagram wisdom, creative embodiment practices, and more.

I enjoy gardening, literary fiction, dancing, singing and songwriting. I live outside Richmond, VA with my husband, daughters, and mutt.
